2022 Giants Live World Open

August 6, 2022

Two competitions in one, the Giants Live World Open demands strength, determination, and pain management. Starting with the World Deadlift Championships, the athletes are pushed to each of their limit to attempt to lift past the fabled 500kg Deadlift, set by Eddie Hall in 2016. Athletes must choose between lifting the 505kg and winning the $55K grand prize or saving themselves for the fight that the rest of the competition holds. The events, created by Colin Bryce and Darren Sadler would leave a normal man laid on the ground, grasping for air. Many claim that they both love to watch these strongman shriek in pain. The truth is that these events test every facet of strength, and the strongest athlete is the one who stands atop the podium at the end of the night.
